Maya Moore

Maya April Moore (born June 11, 1989) is an American basketball forward for the University of Connecticut Huskies, and the winner of the 2006 and 2007 Naismith Prep Player of the Year.

She was selected as the John Wooden Award winner in 2009 after leading Connecticut to the undefeated national championship. The following season, Moore led Connecticut to capture their second national championship and continued their overall undefeated game-winning streak at 78.

Moore was invited to the USA Basketball Women's National Team training camp in the fall of 2009, one of only three college players and the only junior to be invited to the training camp.

The team selected to play for the 2010 FIBA World Championship and the 2012 Olympics is usually chosen from these participants. At the conclusion of the training camp, the team will travel to Ekaterinburg, Russia, where they compete in the 2009 UMMC Ekaterinburg International Invitational.

Jackie Nava

Jacqueline Nava Mouett (born April 11, 1980 in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico) is a Mexican boxer in the Super Featherweight division and is managed by former world champion Erik Morales. She's best known for being the first ever Women's WBC Champion (Laila Ali was the second).

Professional career

In April 2004, she won the Mexican National Super Bantamweight Championship by Knocking out Ofelia Dominguez.

Francesca Schiavone

Francesca Schiavone is an Italian tennis player who turned professional in 1998. She won the 2010 French Open singles title, becoming the first Italian woman to win a Grand Slam event in singles. Her career high ranking is World No. 6 achieved on June 7, 2010. Schiavone is currently ranked World No. 7.

Schiavone employs an all court game and has a very classic approach to her clay game. She uses an extreme eastern grip (same as semi-western forehand grip) on her one handed backhand much like Justine Henin and also has a strong forehand. She is one of only three women in the top 50 to employ a one handed backhand.

Schiavone has won four singles titles on the WTA tour, but has also achieved ten runner-ups in total, eight of them since the autumn of 2005. Schiavone lost her first eight career finals before finally winning her first title in July 2007. She and her Italian teammates Mara Santangelo, Flavia Pennetta, and Roberta Vinci beat the Belgium team 3–2 in the 2006 Fed Cup final. Justine Henin had to retire in the fifth and final match due to an injury in her right knee, which let Italy win their first Fed Cup trophy. This match was a doubles match and Kirsten Flipkens partnered Henin and Roberta Vinci partnered Schiavone. In 2009 she won the Fed Cup with Italy for the second time against the USA, and also made the quarterfinals of Wimbledon for the first time. In 2010 Italy with Schiavone won the Fed Cup for the third time.

In addition, she realized a notable victory during the quarterfinals of the 2008 Dubai Duty Free Women's Open, when she upset World No. 1 and four-time champion Henin 7–6, 7–6. She also beat Amélie Mauresmo in a Fed Cup tie in 2006 when Mauresmo was ranked No. 1.

Partnering with Australian Casey Dellacqua, Schiavone was the runner-up in the women's doubles competition at the 2008 French Open.

Venus Williams

Venus Ebony Starr Williams (born June 17, 1980) is an American professional tennis player who is currently ranked World No. 5 in singles and World No. 5 in doubles. Considered to be one of the greatest women's tennis players of all time, she has been ranked World No. 1 in singles by the Women's Tennis Association on three separate occasions. She became the World No. 1 for the first time on February 25, 2002, becoming the first African American woman to achieve the feat during the open era.

Williams is the reigning champion in women's doubles at the Australian Open and the French Open. Her 21 Grand Slam titles ties her for twelfth on the all time list and is more than any other active female player except for her younger sister Serena Williams: seven in singles, twelve in women's doubles, and two in mixed doubles. Her seven Grand Slam singles titles ties her with four other women for twelfth on the all-time list. Her five Wimbledon singles titles ties her with two other women for eighth on the all-time list. Kaitlin Young

Kaitlin R. Young (born September 15, 1985) is an American female mixed martial artist. She competed in the bantamweight division for EliteXC.

Young rose to fame after winning the one-night 2007 HOOKnSHOOT Women's Grand Prix with three knockouts in a combined time of just 1:45.

She then faced Sarah Schneider at Tuff-N-Uff: "Thompson vs. Troyer" on February 1, 2008, but was defeated by a second-round armbar.

On May 31, 2008, Young was defeated by Gina Carano at EliteXC: Primetime on CBS after the second round when the ringside physician declared her unable to continue.

Young returned to MMA competition on December 11, 2009, but lost to Shana Olsen via second-round technical knock out. Olsen had missed weight for the fight.

Young entered the Freestyle Cage Fighting Women's Bantamweight Grand Prix at FCF 39 on January 30, 2010 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She was defeated by Jennifer Tate in the second round of their quarterfinal bout.

Young was set to face Jamie Seaton in the co-main event at Crowbar MMA: "Fall Brawl" on September 11, 2010, but Seaton withdrew from the fight. Young was then matched up against Liz Carmouche, but the fight was cancelled after Young signed on to take part in the filming of the Ultimate Women Challenge reality show.
